The moment you took oath,
I thought all could be well.
All these illusions sent me to hell.
Your lies thrilled me,
Promises made me blind.
Days into weeks we landed into toxicity.
Slaps on my cheeks became a continuity.
Tears instead of sight drowned on me.
A walking dead I became but vowed to salvage mines.
Choosing seclusion to tend my feelings,
Suffering in my afflictions to save your reputation.
All these proved futile
To the public you are a man,
But an enemy of the people deep down.
Out to devour the remnants,
By opening all the slaughter gates.
Maybe you are the “Christ of Violence”
With filthy words of deceit.
Filled with hypocrisy and mediocrity.
Am stuck in this anomy,
Of why servants turn to masters.
Of how leaders now mislead.
Wails fill the acrid air,
Of innocent souls that followed their soul.
Lamentation being the only consolation.
